What happened to the kid that set the U.S high school record in the triple jump?
He jumped 56 feet then was never heard from again. Did he go to college? Did he quit the sport? He seems to have disappeared off the planet.|||I never heard of this. The world record is only 4 more feet, are you sure this is accurate.|||Yes, he set the record at the national J.O. meet in Eugene 7/29/04 when he was 18. He jumped a legal 54 ft. 10 1/4 inches. He signed with Hinds Community College. He dropped out of sight so I do not know what happened to him. He was from Baton Rouge, La. By the way the world record is a fraction of an inch over 60 feet.
